Ticket concept is pure genie-us Concept Games As well as a superb range of gaming equipment, Concept Games had a highly novel solution to hopper starvation on show at this year’s Preview. According to the firm’s Dave Garforth (pictured on the left), the Ticket Genie fits any machine that pays out via a hopper, effectively replacing all cash payouts with a bar coded secure ticket. There are other benefits too including enhanced security and a reduced emphasis on servicing.
Busier show than expected says Crown Crown Leisure Again, with one of the biggest stands at the show, Crown Leisure and sister firm Deith Leisure set their stall out in fine form for Preview 2010. On the afternoon of the opening day, the firm’s sales director Dean Harding was in optimistic mood. He told Coinslot: “I had anticipated that there might be fewer people here this year. But the show has been busier than I expected.” Harding is pictured with Harry Levy’s X Quacker pusher.

Here’s hopping for some success Electrocoin Strength-in-depth has always been core to Electrocoin’s product portfolio and this year’s Preview line-up proved to be no exception to the rule. Stand-out products included the brilliant new incarnation of GTI Club from Konami and Taito’s innovative and fun Hopping Road, which attracted plenty of attention from visitors to the show. Pictured with Hopping Road is Electrocoin boss John Stergides.
Preview is a cost effective showcase says Beer Empire Games Craig Beer of Empire Games claimed to be happy with progress at this year’s exhibition, citing it as a relatively cost-effective exercise. The firm used the show to launch its new Category C lo-tech titles King Cash and Double Yer Money. Beer also hinted that while signs of an upturn have yet to manifest themselves, there is business out there to be had.
No shortage of visitors on FatSpanner stand FatSpanner One of the busiest stands of the show at Preview 2010 belonged to game development firm FatSpanner. The event proved to be an ideal platform to show off the firm’s burgeoning portfolio of products, notably the D.I.C.E SWP platform produced in partnership with the Barcrest Group. Pictured on the stand are FatSpanner’s Alfio Monterosso and Clive Barrett.
Game on for Game Concepts Game Concepts Gordon Crompton of Game Concepts was in fine form going into last week’s Preview on the back of the recent manufacturing and distribution deal with Sega Amusements. On the first day of the show he told Coinslot: “We’re really looking forward - we’re a small company, but with Sega on board we now have the clout to go into new markets.” Pictured are Richard and Gordon Crompton with the firm’s Strictly Disco pusher.
Multi-stake cruises ahead Gamesoft South Wales gaming machine manufacturer Gamesoft has high hopes for its new £70 Category C offering Caribbean Cruise.
