Thats Show Business - Preview 2010 Show Report Part 2
Email Shot Thursday 22nd October 2009

Preview would like to thank everyone who supported this year’s show. Here is the second part of our exhibitor round-up.

“Barcrest Group enjoyed a very positive reaction to its new games at the Preview recently, which were demonstrated on the stands of its distributors MDM Leisure and Crown Direct/Deith Leisure. We were delighted with the feedback we received from visitors and our distributors supported and promoted our products with great enthusiasm. It was a very successful show for Barcrest Group!'
Tim Kennedy – Barcrest Group

“Together with Amatic we decided to take a bigger stand this year as we felt the Preview has started to draw the attention of the UK Casino and Betting office companies as well as traditional arcade and single site operators. This we believe was the right move for us as we created sales and also found our larger profile to be more acceptable than where we were situated last year.”
Hans Bierrum – Genesis Games

“The Preview show had a much better feel about it this year. Pushers have performed really well in the last 12 months and this gave customers the confidence to purchase for the coming season. Our new pusher fast coin delivery system caused a lot of interest, which resulted in better than anticipated orders. Redemption continues to sell and we are quoting many of our customers for machines they have seen at Preview. We are now looking forward to January when the main bulk of redemption product will be purchased but Preview was an encouraging start to the 2010 season.”
Harry Levy – Harry Levy Amusements

“It was a compacted show this year but this did not have a negative effect on the visitor numbers. In fact it probably gave the show more atmosphere, particularly on the Wednesday. We were impressed by the quality of customer, which was above average and overall we were pleased with the single floor format and found Preview better than expected.”
Craig Beer – Empire Games

“The Preview show turned out to be much better than we had hoped for. We had a particular product to promote and it went down extremely well. Thanks to the timing of Preview we now have a head start selling our product and we don’t have to wait until the January shows. So we were really pleased to be there, it was very good for us and definitely worth it!”
Michael Green – UDC

'Electrocoin felt that the show ran smoothly and the quality of the visitor was high, however, it is clear that the recession is still hitting sales and visitor numbers were not as high on the second day.'
Kevin Weir – Electrocoin

“The Preview this year was a well timed opportunity for Sega to demonstrate to the trade it's new and expanding product portfolio. The addition of pushers, air hockey and basket ball games, shooting galleries and more has been well received - the message was clear and it was an extremely good platform to do this. Attendance on the first day was better than expected and sales were received. Time is now to evaluate if they were additional sales and if they will get shipped before Christmas - then the true benefit of the investment can be assessed. The show itself was well executed and organised as ever.”
Justin Burke – Sega Amusements Europe

“The Preview is our favourite show as FatSpanner's market is predominantly the UK. This year we had our best show ever. Our stand has never been as busy and for the first time in FatSpanner's history our sales hit the triple digits. However, the Dab For Life Bingo terminals, endorsed by the Breast Cancer Campaign charity, stole the show. Everyone congratulated us on the product and site testing with a major Bingo player was agreed at the show.”
Alfio Monterosso – FatSpanner

“We were particularly pleased by the number and calibre of visitors at the
show especially on the Wednesday and there were a lot of sales generated.
The new £70 jackpot machines in particular 7th Heaven from Barcrest Group
and Pure Gold Player from Astra Games proving highly popular and selling in
excellent numbers. The machines are performing very well and we hope to
receive further orders when following up customer's interest from the show.
The show has given the industry a boost and an opportunity to show proven
tested products that will help to boost customer's takings.”
Mark Lewis – MDM Leisure

“Sound Leisure had an extremely positive show this year. We always feel that the Preview offers a superb platform to network and to show our latest products and this year was no exception, in fact if anything we found it better than ever, the single floor layout seemed to enhance the atmosphere.”
Chris Black – Sound Leisure

“If you can’t beat the bookies, you have to join them – that was our message. We used the Preview to show AGC operators just how simple it is to adapt their existing business to incorporate LBO applications that facilitate ‘no-risk’ sports betting. The show enabled me to speak to several stakeholders about Betxtech’s offer, which was very useful.”
Melcom Copeland – Betxtech

“FML sales enjoyed a successful Preview, more than justifying our decision to take a stand. Wednesday was a particularly busy day, But I enjoyed the contrast on Thursday, having more quality time to spend with individual clients.”
Steve Dorkings – FML Sales
