ASTRA GAMES Astra set to launch ‘Cash For Scrap’ initiative at Preview 2010 STAND CH19/22 CHAMPAGNE SUITE
Ever ready to offer operators the best means with which to support their businesses, Astra Games are offering a new Cash For Scrap scheme to create new opportunities, even in today’s difficult times.
Astra Games - part of the Novomatic Group of Companies - is poised to launch a stream of new games at Preview 2010, as well as introduce forward-looking product for Category C and Category B3 in both reel and video, single and multiplayer formats.
Astra is also launching a major initiative at Preview with its Cash For Scrap scheme. Announcing the initiative, Astra’s managing director Zane Mersich said: “Astra is a proud member of the Novomatic Group of Companies and it is, in the current challenging climate, well worth repeating the words of our president, Professor Johann Graf, who has said many times: ‘in difficult times one thing is always created - opportunity’. Astra is launching its Cash For Scrap initiative at Preview 2010, where we will take in any old Category C or Category D three-player machine, from any manufacturer, any make or model, at a guaranteed trade-in value of £2010 against the price of a brand new Astra £70 jackpot Divas Reels, Party Time Platinum, Bullion Bars Platinum or Locomotion three player. That offer has enormous value, not just in cash terms for the operator, but also in providing new, technically sophisticated, attractions for the high street player.”
Alan Rogers, Astra’s director of sales, commented: “The Cash For Scrap initiative is really exciting for the UK industry. By taking out of circulation old, outdated three-player machines and replacing them with brand new Astra products at a significant discount, we are helping both operators and their customers, the players.”
He continued: “Astra knows that each year’s Preview exhibition is a significantly important event on the gaming calendar. At Preview 2010 we will be launching exactly what our customers tell us they need and want: a substantial number of new and innovative games and cabinets. As the UK gaming industry anticipates a return to sustainable profitability through better trading conditions, the importance of Preview 2010 is higher than it has ever been. The exhibition will provide the ideal ‘shop window’ ahead of the traditional ‘buying period’ and will focus on the engine of recovery: new games and advanced technology.”
Astra Games’ appearance at Preview 2010 is certain to be an exciting affair, bolstered by the attraction of games that promise the best in innovation, design and enjoyment. Most importantly, Astra promises to bring its crucially relevant “new player attraction” factor to Preview 2010, in the belief that if the industry is excited then so too will be its key asset: the players.
BARCREST GROUP From analogue to digital, Barcrest Group has it covered BEAUJOLAIS ROOM MEZZANINE FLOOR
With three new reel-based games and no fewer than 15 new games for the Triple 7 video platform amongst its line-up, Barcrest Group has a host of products with which to wow the crowds at this year’s Preview show.
Barcrest Group’s product line-up for the Preview exhibition will feature a range of new reel-based and video products that will be exhibited in the Champagne Suite on the stands of distributors Crown Direct/Deith Leisure and MDM Leisure.
Three new reel-based games will be presented in the modular Horizon Plus cabinet, which benefits from USB technology for quick and easy game updates without the need for a whole new machine.
Elvis 5 Liner from Red Gaming stars the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll in a mid-tech game that has been inspired by the success of Casino 5 Liner. Golden Giza, also from Red Gaming, features a classic Egyptian theme and offers multistake options with £1 play game enhancements. The Leprechaun’s Gold from Barcrest Games capitalises on the popularity of the legendary Rainbow Riches theme and has proven performance and full retailer approvals.
The Triple 7 product goes from strength to strength, with 15 new games for Category C and Category B3 making their debuts at the show, including Extra Ball Bingo, King of the Aztecs, Jacks or Better Poker and Elvis Smash Hits Party.
At the show, distributors Crown Direct, Deith Leisure and MDM Leisure will be promoting Barcrest Group’s ‘Try before you Buy’, a promotion which allows customers to sample new Triple 7 category B3 games for a period of 60 days before making a decision to purchase the game, at a cost of only £2.50 per game, per day. Crown Jewels, The Price is Right and Rainbow Riches Fields of Gold are included in the promotion and customers can choose any game, or all three if they like.
With the lucrative Christmas season not far away, Barcrest Group will be launching a Rainbow Riches ‘Christmas Special’. The offer will allow customers to purchase a new Rainbow Riches Fields of Gold game that, in keeping with the season of goodwill, will include a Christmas-themed version of the game, timed to run from December 1 over the whole of the Christmas and New Year period.
The D.I.C.E. SWP Cabinet, introduced in January at the IGE, will be shown in the stunning new glossy black cabinet, and will feature Fatspanner’s new exclusive games as well as sneak previews of content designed by Barcrest Games.
Tim Kennedy, sales and commercial director, is anticipating a very successful show: “Barcrest Group has a superb lineup of products to showcase at Preview and our team is looking forward to demonstrating these to customers at the show.'
