Sega Welcomes Back Jean-Luc Dieudonne (again!!!)
Press Release - 21st May 2009

Jean-Luc Dieudonne has rejoined Sega Amusements Europe Ltd as Special Projects and Sales Manager after a one-year absence from the industry. Jean-Luc will use his wealth of knowledge in the industry to provide a key sales role to Sega’s large number of emerging new markets and specific existing markets.

Jean-Luc joined Deith Leisure in 1984 as Shipping Manager and was soon promoted to General Manager and became the central hub of the business, continuing his functions when Sega Japan purchased Deith Leisure in 1990.

Sega Amusements Europe Ltd, Managing Director – Paul Williams commented “Jean-Luc’s enthusiasm, reputation and experience in the industry made him a natural candidate for this role. He is highly respected and well known within the industry which is always a key factor in this business as it is such a people business. We are very lucky that he was available to us. It was a very sad day when he left the company one year ago, but had to for personal reasons”.

Jean-Luc will be based at Sega Amusements Europe’s Chessington offices in Surrey. He will liaise with distributors and operators to maintain the strong presence of Sega in his newly allocated markets and ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained at the current high level.

Dieudonne primary role will be to focus on two key products within Sega’s portfolio, Game Gate and Trio Tech’s XD Theatre. Both require a dedicated figure to penetrate the market effectively. Whilst Game Gate, the hybrid ‘home console to coin op’ cabinet will open up whole new markets for Sega, the impressive XD Theatre has global appeal in locations from FECs to malls to attraction venues.

Jean-Luc commented “I thought that I would not come back this time but we are in an industry that gets into your blood stream and I have very much missed it over the past year, although I have always kept in touch and astride of the current business activities. Joining Sega Amusements Europe again is like being welcomed home and the “family” is the coin op industry itself. This is a fantastic opportunity, I am sure that this new structure will allow us to respond better to our customers needs and help us achieve our ambitious targets for 2009/10’’.

Jean-Luc can be contacted at Sega’s head office in Chessington on telephone number +44 (0) 208 391 8077 or 44 (0) 7736 378371.
